I'm needing a new ankle holster for my BUG. In perusing the Gall's catalog {for those who don't know, that's a Police/Fire/EMS supply outfit}, I see they have one by Gould and Goodrich. G&G primarily make leather for LEOs, but I've no experience with their products. Can any of their customers enlighten me on their quality before I place an order? Thanks in advance.

haven't looked at them in a number of years. My recollection is they were stiff and not up to my other holsters. They are worth a look.

Judging by the lack of responses, I'd say the collective answer to my question is "No". Ah, well...thanks, ltc444.

My experience with them (G&G) is only with their leather pancake holsters, mostly for my 92FS. Good durable holsters that hold their shape well and last a long time. I've had a couple over the last 20 years. I rate them very good as far as that type of leather holster goes. Never used any other type of G&G, so I cant say about their ankle holsters. The only ankle holster I have is a nylon/velcro for my PPK/S. I cant recall the brand at the moment. I used to wear it everyday on duty as a BUG. It would fit down over the top edge of my Hi-tec boots and not rub my ankle or leg. The PPK/S is now one of my wife's carry guns, so I haven't dug that ankle holster out of the holster drawer in years.
Short answer is that I would rate G&G as good holsters as far as the gold line pancakes go.

IME there are other choices that provide greater satisfaction.
For ankle wear suggest Galco and Desantis.

G & G was originally owner by S & W. I have a holster for my Smith 1076. Quality seems ok but it's very stiff. Maybe because I don't use it much

I have one from years ago. Stiff is good. It doesn't go soft such that the gun will drag on the way out.

At one time G&G made holsters for S&W, the G&G pancake holster I have for my S&W 645 is of good quality. It's got to be 20+ years old and the leather is still very pliable...
