View Full Version : firearms refinishing in NC

April 22, 2011, 12:48 PM
Hey Gang,
I have a pair of S&W 10-5 5". The finish on them is about 60% gone. I'm going to have them refinished with hardchrome. Yes I know, period pieces, collector value, original hot blue, etc etc... I got these for shooters. I'm also going to chamfer the chambers before the dasterdly deed is done.
I live near Raleigh and I'm looking for someone local-ish to do the work. I'll take them to Charlotte if I have to, but years ago I heard of a firm in Angier or Coats that did this work very well, but I can't find them on the web.
Suggestions for someone to do the work close to me would be greatly appreciated.

I waited to see if someone closer responded.

You can get a local shop to do the firearms work, but you may also want to research a few other good firms too.
Many forum members(like me) have used; www.Robarguns.com www.Black-T.com www.Bearcoat.com www.APWcogan.com .
Black or Green T, Bearcoat & Robar's NP3+ have a lot to offer.
