I have a Rem 700 new out the box and just had my new scope, a BSA Platinum rifle scope come in. It didnt come with rings and the rifle doesnt have a rail or anything. My question is; what type of rings do I need to get and do the rings fit right on the rifle?

Thanks!

I have Leupold 2 piece bases on mine. It just happened the scope I bought at Sportsmans Warehouse is also Leupold and the store offered to mount the scope for free.

I have mine on a .308 and I have shot that rifle a LOT. That sucker could just as easily be welded on. It just does not move.

I am pleased.

I would look towards the BURRIS Extreme scope rings , a EGW 20 moa picatinny 1 piece rail and you'll never need another mount for it ever, the rings are 50.00 cabelas, and 40.00 +shipping from EGW.

I used a TPS one piece base and medium height rings from TPS as well for my 700 in 6.8 spc. Works great
