excuse my spelling. I bought a ruger mini 14 used so I want to revive it without a lot of cost. What are the things I need to help get it to moa if possible. I did revive a Ruger 44mag carbine by doing a lot of cleaning and trigger work. I know they are not known for there accuracy but i can improve it.

I don't have a mini-14, but I recall there were a lot of posts about accurizing them on usenet rec.guns, over 12 years ago.

The consensus was that rebarreling was the key.

Many of those roads lead to this site:

Many tips can be found here. (http://www.perfectunion.com/vb/ruger-mini-14-talk/)

Gap the gas block evenly
Replace the gas bushing with one that has a smaller diameter port
Add a barrel stabilizer (Mo-Rod or Accu Strut)
Add buffers to the gas pipe and recoil spring guide
Trigger job

Becareful when removing/retouching the cap.
It is easy to cross thread and crack the cap.
I had to replace screws and chase the threads with a tap. And reweld a
broken cap that another shop messed up.

them like you do a M1 grand , the reciever contact with the wood . Glass the forend where it contacts the gas port houseing, use release lol or it will be all stuck together. One I had would shot 2 shot groups in a dime but the other couldn't kill a pie plate. I thought the bad one had a very long runout on the throat causeing the bullets to upset an wabble coming out of the barrel. Good luck
