I'd love to buy a modern semi-auto repro of one of these carbines(sub guns really but semi auto with a full stock and barrel). I've seen many attempt to make modern copies and they've all been allegedly plagued by poor reliability or problems with firing pins etc. Does anybody know of a good modern copy?

Check that one out. I cant speak for quality, as I have never shot one. Also, Im not sure if its an exact copy, I doubt it is.

.22LR so you can shoot it all day long with out breaking your wallet. Also it has a 50 round drum!

I own one of the Puma PPS 50s that S&W Kinda Guy mentioned and it's far from an exact copy but it's very well made, accurate and a lot of fun. And it generally looks pretty much like the original.
