Need help on a 38 special load for my 20" carbine that will not lead the barrel. Want to use the same bullets (LRNFP) and powder that I use for my 4 " revolver. If I keep the load light such as 3.2 g of bullseye for the revolver I don't know if the fast powder is any good for the carbine loads.

Would like to come up with a 158g bullet/powder combination to use for both that won't cause leading problems for target shooting with the pistol or the carbine. I like simple cause I'm simple. Any help would be most welcome. Thanks

I think you want this on the Handloading and reloading forum; no the BlackPowder forum

I thought maybe some cowboy action shooters would be loading the same bullet with the same powder charge for their handgun and carbines and could help me.:) I reposted it on the handloading forum also.

Is all cowboy action shooting black powder?

No, not all - in fact only about 15% of CAS is blackpowder; but, there are very few smokeless shooters that haunt this forum. I figured you'd be better served on the handloading forum.

Post the question on the SASS WIRE http://sassnet.com/forums - if you havent already. You'll probably get a dozen answers in the first 30 minutes after you post
