Federal 7.62x51 168gr OTM for M1A

Maybe a silly question. Can I safely run this ammo in my
DPMS LR.308 AP4? I've run a few rounds through and no problems. Just curious as to why it is for use in an M1A. I just want to make sure it is safe ammo for me to use. Thanks.

The only thing different about that ammo is it has harder primers. So long as your rifle will give good primer strikes, you shouldn't have a problem.


Another thing about the ammo. I picked up a couple boxes a while back because it was so cheap (Under $18 a box). Tried them out in my Remington SPS Tactical, and they shot nearly as good as Federal Gold Medal Match.

Thanks for the reply. To me the ammo felt like it fed and fired good. Not a bad price either.
