After looking over the R&D and kirst i'm kinda leaning towards the R&D. Which would be better the 5 shot so its shoots straight out the barrel or the 6 shot at a slightly angle. The only things is where is the best place to buy it. i'm not really worried about price but customer satisfaction. Another thing is what is the name R&D or Howell. Ive heard they changed names.

Because of what is written in the brochure below, I was under the impression that Taylor's had some kind of manufacturing partnership with R&D.
They still offer a lot of "R&D" 6 shot conversion cylinders and they do the installation work as well.
If someone wanted a 6 shot cylinder then I wouldn't hesitate recommending them and to also have them fit it if necessary.
Maybe Taylor's will continue to manufacture a 6 shot cylinder [under the R&D name or not] while Howell manufactures the 5 shot cylinder, who knows?

I contacted MIdway when I recieved my third cylinder from them, it was supposed to be a howell acording to the website picture and description. What I got was a Taylor. Acording to the manager Howell has been bought out by Taylor. THe way he described it to me left me still a little confused. Anyway Midway has the cylinders at good prices and as far as im concerned the customer service is A-1 by me.
