I shot the rifle for the first time last week. I took the muzzle break off no problem, cleaned it and put it back on. I initially didn't have a rifle cleaning kit as this is my first rifle. So now that I have the right bore brush I wanted to clean the barrel. I tried to take the muzzle break off so I could take out the cleaning rod. The muzzle break turns a little then it will move no further I can only turn it back into place with the button snapping in.

This makes no sense I took it off and put it back on no problem. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate them. I guess I will be seeing the gunsmith this week if I can't get it off.

Turning it the right way??
Make sure the cleaning rod hasn't moved forward and is blocking the brake from turning.

Insert a round screwdriver shank into the open end of the brake and use it as a wrench to unscrew it.
Make sure to hold the locking pin in with a small screwdriver blade until it's unscrewed most of the way off.

Got it off. I think the cleaning rod was blocking it.
