My dad was thinking about putting a burris fullfield II 4.5-14 on a rifle he just bought. He was wondering about the optic quality, mainly brightness during twilight hours. (sunrise and sunset) thanks.

It's by far the best scope I've used in both low light and in clarity. Now the only other one I've used in that price range was a VX-I which didn't even compare in my opinion. It's my favorite scope I've used.

I"ve had the same scope on a Remington 700, 30-06 for five years, sight it in every year and have,nt adjusted it yet. I use the Burris rings also. I think you'll be pleased with the scope in the twilight hours, takes me right up to quittin time.

Here's another vote for the FFII. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to put it to use it at sunrise/sunset yet, but I definitely love mine. I've got a 4.5-14x sitting on a Rem 700. Optics are great. Don't expect Nightforce quality glass, but a real contender at it's price point.

I am familiar w/ my usa fullfield II and two work fullfield II tacticals, all 3x9.

Clarity and durability seem fine. The tac scopes are seeing pretty steady use in patrol vehicles and do not loose zero.

Only criticism is a slightly more pronounced sensitivity to eye relief when mounting the rifle when compared to my Leu in the same pice range.

I had a Fullfield II 3-9x40 on a Savage 30-06 and currently have a FullField II 2-7x35 on a Savage .223. For the price range amazing clarity, light transmission and quality. I usually go for Leupold VX-II scopes.. but when it comes to $200 or less I'd take that FullField II over anything. I've compared it side by side with Nikon Buckmasters and Bushnell 3200 elite scopes... takes the take by far.

I used Leupold PRW rings on one though the Burris Zee signature rings are darn good too!

The Burris scope works well, and for it's price range, represents a good value.

It is not in the same league, optically speaking, as some other brands, but it holds it's own.

I had one in 3-9x40. Decent scope but honestly I thought the Bushnell 3200 I had was better for the same price.

I use a Burris Fullfield 11 on my Sako 25-06AI. It is a 6.5-20 x50 and I found the optics to be clearer and brighter than the 6-18 x40 Loopy vx11 That I used previously.
