I am going to shop around for one. I'd like to hear your thoughts on which one is the more accurate. I'll be checking the pull weights on rifle and handgun triggers. Thanks in advance

I think that the most accurate are probably the weight sets that are used for competition. But these can get pricey - e.g. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=9710/Product/NRA_OFFICIAL_UNIVERSAL_TRIGGER_WEIGHT_SYSTEM

Otherwise I use a Lyman electronic trigger pull gauge (i.e. a strain gauge), and it's proven to be very consistent and accurate. I'm a little dubious of the spring based gauges.

I use a Lyman electronic gauge. One thing that I like is that it lets you average several attempts. But they are touchy and limited to 10lbs.

Yeah, from what I've seen online, Lyman seems to be a decent choice. Thanks guys.
