Hi guys,

Does anyone know of extra-quiet sling swivels for a standard leather rifle sling (service rifle type)?

Not that the regular steel ones make a lot of noise, but I'd like something that is a little quieter. Or maybe if there is some trick to making them quiet (coatings, etc.) that would be helpful too.

I've used both of these and they are considerably quieter than the standard metal QD type.

A long time ago,, in a far away land where what you was hunting--shot back at you,, we learned the wonders of "duct tape". Just my 2cents worth.

A couple wraps of electrical tape works quite well, and leaves no adhesive residue when ya pull it off.

Even better is "Tommy Tape". It looks like electrical tape but only sticks to itself. Meant for plumbing repairs as it forms a watertight seal, but it would work in this application and leave no residue as it has no adhesive.
