I bought a Bush model about 4 months ago from the original purchaser. It had never been fired and still had the blue hanger on the guard. I did pay premium for it in an auction but i WANTED it.. so I paid... It has the very sought after (I beleive) National Match stock on it. Man o' man, what a difference it makes. It feels just so sweet with that extra wood. 18" bbl and I put a SEI CG brake on it and am very happy with it.. It was an early model, made in 1994/95 and has 087xxx s/n.
Doesn't make any sense to purchase a scout and have some place that is for sure going to charge high $$ to do what you can do if you really feel the need. Get a JAE Gen II and call it a day...
I would try to find a good clean USGI walnut, get it setup and then call it a day. But, to each his own.....
good luck with whatever it was you decided on... I saw this post and just wanted to put these two cents in...
