Hello,

Newbie to the forum and need your guys help. Have any of you heard of a Revelation 208 30-30 Lever Action? Im trying to find what years they were manufactured to see if they are C&R eligible in California. I read some were made by Savage and some Mossberg? Any info on these rifles or a link to some info, would be awesome.

Thanks for any info you guys can share

It's not listed on Numrich's cross reference chart.

If you posted some pictures, someone might be able to figure it out.

You sure that "8" isn't a "5"????

Revelation 205 is a Mossberg 472PCA

While Savage undoubtedly made some rifles branded "Revelation", I seriously doubt it woould have been their only .30-30 levergun, the Model 1899 - distinctly different from the Mossberg, which is very reminiscent of the Marlin 336 design, although not the same.

If your rifle has a two-piece stock it's most likely either a Marlin or a Mossberg, and if the trigger travels with the lever, it's a Mossberg.

Revelation was/is a Western Auto trademark, the same as Montgomery Ward's Western Field and Sears' J.C. Higgins. Marlin, Savage, Mossberg and, to a lesser extent, Winchester, all made guns sold under the Revelation name.
