Hi all,
I own several semi-autos, but have never used a lazer sight.
I was looking at the 'Crimson trace' LG475 lasergrip for the CZ75b (fullsize).
http://www.crimsontrace.com/Home/Products/CZ/LG475/tabid/209/Default.aspx
Does anyone have one, or know anything about them (Good or bad).
They are fully adjustable for windage and elavation. It says the rubber overmould also cushions recoil. dot size 0.5" at 50 feet.
Do they work well? help with accuracy training? help to take down a bad guy quickly with accurate rapid fire? How is the rubber grip compared to the CZ standard etc etc
All thoughts are welcome... and appreciated.

I've seen them used at the range a few times. Don't get one thinking it'll be helpful shooting at paper targets, it won't. Get one if you want to see where you're shooting in low light and night conditions for self defense.
It's my understanding most people involved in a SD shooting incident don't use their sights, but rather do the 'point shooting' technique. When a BG has a knife or gun aimed at you, the last thing you'll be doing is lining up those tiny iron sights and gently squeezing the trigger. A laser sight can help if you shoot from awkward positions as you don't have to line anything up.
As for the 75b CT grip, I'd be leery of messing with it's perfect ergonomics...and I have one.

Thanks chris,
I love my 75B. It is my gun of choice in it's catagory.
Because it is so reliable I also keep it by the bed for home defence.
I am cautious to change anything on it because its near perfect. I am a pretty good shot, but I was also thinking of my wife - if she needed it for home defence at night. Is anyone actually familiar with the Crimson LG475 grip?
Some grips improve the ergonomics of the gun, but the 75b is already very ergonomic out of the factory. Would adding the Lg475 grips to a 75B ruin the gun's feel - or is this a decent grip aswell as being laser sighted?
czs aside, would anyone reccommend laser sight modifications to handguns in general?

I don't have a CZ. I do have a Browning High Power which is equipped with Crimson Trace grips (as are my S&W 637 and 686+). Just as grips, the Crimson Traces are far better than the blocky wood panels that came with the pistol. From what I see on the Crimson Trace website, their model for the CZ75b has its activation button on the front of the grip, a much better location than on the side panels, as is the case for my High Power (I manage). If you shoot left-handed, and have a safety lever on the right side of your pistol, the current CT grips will clash with a CZ right side safety. In this case, I recommend you wait until CT comes out with a lefthander's grip for the CZ. I'm sure they will.

Like Jay, I don't own a CZ 75 But I have the Crimson Trace Grips for my SIG P220, and that design is almost identical to the model they make for CZ pistols. The only difference is that the CZ design is newer, and actually uses a better front grip activation design.
The rubber overmolded grip is very comfortable to grip. The texture is real nice. And the laser comes on automatically, and is quite bright. I've got Crimson Trace lasers on 5 of my handguns now, and they all work very well.
Only issue with the CZ Crimson Trace model is if you have a CZ that has an ambidextrous safety. If you do, the safety on the right will basically block the laser. So you would have to have a gunsmith modify the gun.
The CZ Custom Shop will do that for CZ owners, if anyone has such a need:

Here is what the grip looks like on my Sig P220:

I also have a highly customized Glock 17, which also has a Crimson Trace laser installed on it:

I also have a Crimson Trace installed on both both my full size and compact S&W M&P pistols. Here is a pick of the laser on my M&P compact:

My latest Crimson Trace laser is the brand new model they just released for the Kahr PM9:

I can't answer your question about the CZ's because I don't have one. The closest I've gotten is checking out the whole CZ line up was at the last Shot Show in Las Vegas. As far a Crimson Trace grips go, I know something about them I have them installed on several 1911's, one three J frame S&W, on an N Frame S&W, on a Mark 1 Ruger 22 pistol. Altogether I own 9 sets of Crimson Trace grips. I shoot once a week at our local range, and in the past was on a pistol team. I do a fair amount of shooting handguns, rifles, and shotguns. I can't say they make you a better shot. What I can say is they are a wonderful tool to help you place hits where you want then in low light conditions. Another good thing about them is you don't have to have your eye behind the sight to hit what you want to hit. If the gun was in your lap with a newspaper over it, you could hit where you are aiming as soon as you move the newspaper a bit. Several of my handguns have so called "night sites" which I think are almost worthless. I can't see my sights well enough when it is dark to be able to hit where I want, but with laser grips you can, and there is no fooling around with them, you can do it quickly. I've tried other laser signs, for me, nothing works as well as CT.

If you're thinking of getting the crimson trace lasergrips for CZ's, they have been on sale at the CZ-USA online store (https://shop.cz-usa.com/item_detail.aspx?ItemCode=11910) for a while now.

Thanks for the feedback guys (and great photos).
Although its nearly half the price of the gun (even on sale) I am really leaning towards getting some.
I like the design of the lg475, and everyone seems to agree that the grips themselves are comfortable and good quality (which was my main concern).
In the worst case, I can always replace the origional grips if I don't like them (got a few friends who also have Czs that might be interested in a resale).
Quick question to Lance/nite ryder or anyone who knows:
Are the lasers strong enough to be seen during daylight e.g 40-50 feet or do they only work at night?
Any special tips/techniques on configuring the laser accurately? Or simple shot and adjust, shot and adjust to get it to line up properly?
Big Thanks Again...
