The best friend scored a deal on a ½ MOA .22-250 built on a Brno VZ24 action and would like to have a hinged floorplate. There seem to be no such critters specifically for the VZ24. Will those sold for '98 Mausers (http://www.e-gunparts.com/DisplayAd.asp?chrProductSKU=881550A&chrSuperSKU=881550&MC=) fit?

I would suggest you give them a call and ask for a hole spaceing, just to make sure. I'm told these are a little on the rough side as far as finish goes but for 68.00 thats cheap for bottom metal. I believe the vz24 has a hole spaceing of 8.750.

Thanks. *sigh*

I had barely clicked the mouse when I realized I was failing to take my own oft repeated advice about phoning the experts.. For the record, Numrich does not answer the phone on weekends and a printout of the page, with phone and part numbers, is in my briefcase for Monday.

The point is moot now, as my friend has decided the push button releases (http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/productdetail.aspx?p=10068&st=&s=) that go for about $7 will suit.
