M16 question

say i bought a pre 1986 M16 full auto, could i put any uper receiver i wanted to on it? also could i get it registered SBR?

You can put any upper you want on it, irregardless or barrel length... Federal Laws on barrel length doe not apply to full-autos.

Correct.

You would just need the one stamp saying it's a registered machine gun.
SBR or AOW do not come into play. If you put a can on it, you would need a second stamp for that.
