well i have posted on a couple other forums. i have a full stock .58 cal flintlock. it has the number 15 stamped on one side of the barel. and .58 mowry , olney TX on the other. here are a couple pics i took.. sorry about the one being blurry. i would love to know any history you might know.. and what it might be worth..

one hell of a nice rifle! Im not sure what model it is but Mowry made some awesome rifles back then. I believe Deer Creek Products has taken over the let over parts. I could be wrong but you'd have to double check that.

i have tried them. they say they have no history of a full stock flint like i have.. i have another mowrey. and that they know about .. the only problem i am having with shooting the flint . is trying to find black powder for it.

srm970, I don't know a whole lot about muzzle loaders, but I have seen one like the second rifle you posted. Since I have seen it, I have pondered it's design. Is there a name for BP rifles like the second one you posted that have that design?

as for a type of name.. no.. they are from mowrey.. and they dont make them anymore. they have a very sharp drop in the stock. and while looking at it you might not think it would be comfortable to shoot.. but it is. and it feels very natural.
