I have a Lyman Rem 1858 44 cal revolver.
Need spare cylinders but Lyman no longer sells or inventories for revolvers.
They claim that Invest Arms of Italy was the manufacturer. How can I contact them?
Does anyone know if Pietta cylinders are interchangeable. Cabelas sells them.
The proof marks on the cylinder and barrel indicate tha Gardone & Brescia are the manufacturer. Is this Invest Arms?
Thanks

Gardone is only the name of a city in the Province of Brescia which is located in northern Italy. There is also the city of Brescia located nearby and the region is famous for making guns.

I wonder if the person that you spoke to gave you the correct information about which manufacturer made your revolver. Investarms currently makes the Lyman single shot pistol.
There may have been a thread that compares the overall length of the cylinders from Uberti and Pietta and their slight difference in measurement.

Gardone is the Italian proof house. You want to find the manufacturers mark. Investarms is a block I. Uberti is a U inside an octagon. Pietta is FAP in a diamond, etc.

Uberti, Pietta & Euroarms Remington cylinders reportedly only differ a little bit in length.
