I just bought a magnum reasearch BFR in .475/.480 7 1/2" today. I can't wait to shoot it and and tell all you folks how awesome it performs. These things are a steal @ 699.99! I'll be back soon with a full report.

Gun 4 Fun

I just bought a Freedom Arms Model 83, very slightly used [ I know where it came from ]. It was my birthday gift to myself. 7 1/2" octagonal bbl.,SSK T'SOB scope mount, warne rings, 2x Leupold scope. $1600.00. I thought that was a good deal after looking at their catalog and the cost for one new. I know they charge more for the scope, but even through a mail order place or Cabela's they are $299.00 for a Leupold. It is awesome! The recoil while heavy is not that bad and you can't beat Freedom's grip design. I know some say the Bisley is even better at handling heavy recoil, but it's butt ugly compared to a Freedom. Anyway enjoy. There is just something special about shooting a fine gun in an awesome caliber.

I'll post pics soon, and have a full range report. I have only put a dozen rounds through it so far, but plan on shooting more in the near future. So far so good, accuracy was top notch out of the box. I was easily hitting milk jugs at about 60-70ft downrange. My apologies for being overdue, kinda busy as of late.
