My dad gave me a pistol years ago, and I've not been able to find any information on it. It is a .22 cal six shot revolver.
Left side when shooting has:

Walker Internation
Detroit Michigan- Model.21

The right side when shooting has what I'm assuming is German writing and below that " Made in West Germany"

Anybody that can help, your reply would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

a quick google on "walker international detroit revolver" finds this (http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/archive/index.php?t-45621.html) from a while ago.

If I remember correctly, those guns were scaled down copies of the Colt single action army. They were made from zinc alloy frames and were neither durable nor very well made. They sold in the '50's and early 60's for around $19, which was not much money even then.

They were a slightly upgraded version of the typical "Saturday Night Special" of the period. There is no collector or historical value. They don't appear in the value guides, and bring only a nominal value ($50 or so) when sold.

Got pics, and what exactly does the German part say?

Lee,

Thanks Greatly for the information. The Gun is not in great shape, and I was going to restore it myself if it was not of any great value (plinking gun around the house). The link you included was of GREAT assistance. The German writing he refered to are the same that are on my gun. Down to the buffalo on the grips. Only difference is my grips are black vs his being brown.

Thanks Again!

This is like, really obscure.

I think this might be the manufacturer (http://www.muzzle.de/Reportagen/HS_-__H_Schmidt_Waffentechnik/hs_-__h_schmidt_waffentechnik.html)
.

This (http://www.waffen.pistol-revolver.de/product_info.php/cPath/26_27/products_id/227) look familiar?
