I was wondering if anyone can tell me the model and type of round this rifle takes. It has a stamp that reads Fabrica Nacional De Armas-Mexico D.F.-1933
Model number26776. It has a mauser action. Seems like the barrel is unusually long.

From the 1933 date, it is probably a Mexican Mauser model 1902 in 7mm Mauser (7x57).

The barrel looks long because it is the 29" barrel standard at the time with the stock cut back like a sporting rifle.

At that date, and with that marking, it would be the Model 1910, which was basically the same as the Model 1902 but was made in Mexico. Both rifles were originally in 7mm Mauser (7x57) but since that rifle has been subjected to some degree of "sporterizing" it may not be in the original caliber. If in doubt, take it to a gunsmith for a chamber cast before firing.

As Jim said, you have a Modelo 1910, a version of the Modelo 1907 made in Mexico at a factory set up by Steyr. It is a "small ring" action, but is a M98 design, the bolt having the rear safety lug. It is a very strong action, capable of handling any of the standard head size chamberings you could fit in it.
