My one extravagance in life is my Perazzi MX-8 sporting shotgun. It is fitted with Briley thin wall chokes. The other day at the last station of a sporting tournament, I screwed in a modified choke that must have somehow been dented. Anyway, the result was 5 shots in a barrel that had pieces of choke sticking into the bore - voila - a bulged barrel. My budget barely withstood the gun, much less replacing those barrels. Thankfully, I live about 60 miles from Briley, so I took it in for a diagnosis. Peter G. told me to leave it there and they'd do what they could. I left for a business trip and when I came back, it was ready. I will be eternally thankful for what they did. It was amazing. The bulge was removed, the choke threads straightened, and both were done without need for rebluing. I don't know how they did it for the price they charged, but it made me a happy camper!
