Bass Pro sent me an ad that shows Browning Silver Hunter shotguns for $899 (12 gauge) and $799 (20 gauge).

I currently do not own any semi-auto shotguns, and am thinking about going up to Bass Pro and getting one in 12 and 20 gauge (my girlfriend is always telling me to get a 20 gauge). Is this $1600 madness or what?

Can anyone tell me about Browning" Silver line? I've read they are pretty reliable. I normally shoot skeet, trap, and sporting clays.

Is this a decent price?

Thanks!

Well, I am back from Bass Pro . . . they had not received the Browning Silvers in, so I bought another 30-06 instead:D

What you see or get is not always what you see or get. I do not know if that makes sense to you but it does to me. I currently do not purchase sporting goods from Bass Pro. It has to do with four very long trips just to find out that what I was told on the phone before I left the house was completely different when I got into the store.

Thanks for asking. I got a Browning X-Bolt Hunter in 30-06 (I don't know why, I already have a Remington CDL 700 in 30-06). I also ordered a Leupold VX III for it . . .
