Got this back in the fifties and, after losing track of it while in the service, just got it back. The short magazine, smooth forearm and most of all the 2 S/Ns have me wondering what I have exactly. 'preciate any help.

there were 3 models of the 1906.
the original 1906 was 22 short only. serial #'s up to 113,000.
the "standard" could fire all 22 rounds. serial #'s 113,000 to 8xx,xxx. the standard had a straight stock and smooth forearm slide, like yours.
somewhere in the standard run came the "expert" model.
these had a pistol grip stock and grooved forearm slide.

Looks like you have a "parts gun" assembled from 2 different rifles for some reason. The different serial numbers are the giveaway.

Thanks, both of you, for both the S/N info and the "parts gun" idea based on my S/Ns. D'oh!!, I shudda thought of that. I've since found a parts site that says parts are interchangeable between all three models plus, in some cases, with the Model 1890.
Again, thanx for thr response.
