I am thinking about refinishing my 870 with duracoat. Is it hard to do and are there any negatives?

My brother (MrClean) has started doing Duracoat, he's already done a couple of pistols, an AR, some shotguns for the SO, and my Uzi carbine. He can give you some idea of the difficulty factor...all I can tell you is I love the Vietnam Tiger Stripe on my Uzi.:D

Shot you a PM, but for anyone else looking.....
It's not difficult. Make sure you clean it GOOD with a degreaser that does not leave a film. I just order DuraCoat's when I order the rest. It's not that expensive. I beadblast most parts but it is not required.
Make SURE you shake it up 3 minutes after the mixing ball starts rattling. My understanding is that most issues derive from improper mixing.... i.e. people being impatient and not shaking it up well.
I put mine on with an IWATA BC airbrush with a .05 needle I belive it is.

I did two guns with it and it worked great. It is a nice finish and tough as nails.
