Rate of twist for a Ruger M77 MKII

What is the Best rate of twist for a .30-06 if im going to be shooting 168 grain bullets? I heard for a .308 a 1:12 is good and for a .223 a 1:8 is good. But what about a .30-06?

Rugers website shows 1/10 for .308 and 30-06. This is pretty common for most manufacturers for these calibers. The .223 is the one caliber that shooters/manufacturers cannot decide which is best on.
