View Full Version : Stoeger Condor- ???

Looked at a Stoeger Condro today and was VERY impressed by the fit and finish and how well it shouldered.

Not positive, but think it was the Competition as it had the adjustable Comb and High gloss stock. Very nice looking gun and comes with 3 sets of chokes. $560.

Does the venting near the end of the barrel appreciably reduce recoil.???

Any real issues???

Will be used mostly for skeet/trap and sporting clays. Maybe some quail.

The porting - or holes toward the ends of the barrels - is designed to reduce the amount of jump or rise in the barrels after each shot. It does not reduce the recoil at all. Limiting the amount of muzzle jump is a very good thing - because it makes the acquisition of the 2nd target a lot easier in the field, for sporting or skeet by keeping the muzzle down.

I'll let somebody else respond as to the quality of the gun / I don't own a Stoeger.
