Could somebody give me the cylinder diameters for the S&W 686 and 629?

Hi everybody,

I don’t currently own any large S&W revolvers and was unable to find the cylinder diameters for the 686/686+ L-frame and the 629 N-frame listed on any spec sheet. If any of you owns one or both and happens to either know the answer offhand or has verniers (though the measurement doesn’t have to be very precise – even a fractional dimension is fine), could you give me this information?

629 is 1.720. Sold my 686. Hope that helps.:)

I don't have anything to measure my 686 that precisely with, but in my notes on it, I have written that it should be 1.56".
