Well after the torturing 6 week wait  for my temp permit to come back, i drove straight to get the actual carry permit, from there to the gun store where i purchased a Glock 23. Then from there to the range; shooting about 300 rounds and testing some different carry ammo. It was great! couldn't tell to much difference b/t the various carry ammo. Afterwards i had to stop by the grocery store to pick up some dinner, i carried into the store and what a feeling. Inside i felt like everyone was looking, and every move i made i felt like everybody could tell i was carrying. Anyway i got over that shortly, now i'm back home and finished cleaning the gun.

Yes, I think feeling like everyone knows you're carrying goes with the territory the first few times. Congrats on your G23, fear not though, eventually it will be part of you, it will feel weird not to not carry it. Good choice in the G23. I was going to ask you if you had any stoppages, and then I remembered it was Glock.

I inspected it, looked through the manual, and it stated not to remove the copper lube that is on it, i cleaned it when i got home, only question is do i need to lube the contact points lightly with grease? any recommendations?.. or is a clp good enough.

A CLP would be fine, I don't use grease at all on my Glocks. Just a few drops of any decent gun oil on the areas that the manual points out is all you need.
The manual actually says something like 3 drops here, 3 drops here. It simply doesn't need much lube to operate perfectly. I have thousands of rounds through several Glocks, I just do as the manual recommends and they work fine.
