Does anyone have any experience with this pistol? It's a Para Ordnance PXT High Capacity SA 45 ACP (Also known as a Warthog).

It looks like it would be a very good CCW.

I was seriously looking at those but eventually became more enamored with these.

This is the same gun wit the laser sights built into the grip

And then this one is just plane nasty It's the Kimber RCP. Notice there are no sights on it. Everything about this gun say close quarters, made for business.

I am interested in hearing from someone who owns one. If Playboypenguin has one, I'd love to hear from him. I have large hands which means I like guns with beefy grips. A gun that size - since it carries 10 rounds - it's my hope it has a thick handle on it. I won't buy one without handling it, but I am interested in feedback regarding reliability and function from people who own or have owned them.

Nice guns, ronc0011. You have those?

Nope, this is the one I have.
14 rounds of 45 ACP
13 in the Mag and one in the chamber.

But I am now looking seriously at the 3 in models.

Everything I've read on the warthog says the grip is a little short making it difficult to control.

Personally I think some people would b**** if you hung em with a new rope.

In any event the kimbers and for that mater the SA’s have a longer handle.

I saw one today in a local shop for $850 used.
It had a worn finish around the barrel end though.
If you gonna carry get stainless.
It was hefty in the hand,I have sausage fingers.

I hjad the P-10 steel frame version Was very unrelieable . + mags are around 50 bucks. But only need 1 as will take for ever to get thru that 1 . Pistol was loud and never fit my hand. Para did a bunch of work but still wouldn't got thru a mag with out 2 or 3 jams.
I sold bought a Defender and never looked back. I don't belive this pistol worth any where near what Para wants for them . How much is cast and how much is MIM parts. But a Colt, Kimber ,or Springfield
