I'm considering buying a Makarov that is marked with the following: Germany 9mm MAK, K100 is stamped in a rectangle above the trigger, 7378 is stamped just above that, import marking is C.A.I. My questions are, is this an East German Makarov, or post unification Makarov? Is there any quality difference between the two. Thanks

It's an East German Makarov. 7378 is the serial number. There should be a letter code too:
