I'm looking for an estimate of this Pistol's private party value from those members with firearms sales experience or reference material. Please don't shoot out arbitrary guesses.

Facts:
1984 vintage Colt Combat Commander (series 80)
Condition: outstanding w/ no scratches or blemishes (near new).
All original paperwork included. No modifications. Approximately 375 rounds put through the Colt. The pistol was meticulously cleaned after each use.

FCxxxxx serial number prefix.
Flawless original wood handgrips w/ gold Colt medallions.

I've already received 2 quotes from local dealers on what it might be worth in a private party sale. I do appreciate the input. Thanks gents.

Its not stainless. Colt calls it "satin" and it is a factory finish. I'm not sure what it's technically made of.

OK satin nickle combat commander as pictured, auction retail will possibly get to $1000.

While a series 70 like that might get to $1000 , I think an 80 series would be about $150 less.:)
