Hello all,

I am looking for some pics of a HK USP 40 compact in variant 1. I would like to see the size and design of this pistol. Also, does this pistol have a decocker on the back? I believe it does. Thanks for any feedback.

graydj,

The decocker is part of the safety lever on the variant 1. Pushing the lever all the way down causes decocking, and pushing it all the way up turns on the safety. The level, horizontal position is for firing.

The large picture shows a gun ready to fire.

Please note that the largest picture shows the extended plate at the bottom of the magazine.

I replaced mine with the shorter standard magazine base plate, shown in the small pictures. Now it is easier to conceal. It is a very worthwhile update, in my opinion.

The HK model with the decocker by the rear of the slide is the P2000.
