IdahoG36, sorry for the side track.

Back on Topic. I had to replace several of the smaller pins that would not fit into my Rock River Lower. One for the Safety detent and one for the bolt hold open. Not a big deal, put i almost screwed up the lower with the big hammer before I returned to my senses.

I just brought it back from the range after a long winter and tried it out again. I have the 20" heavy barrel in a MI free float rail, Vandenburg Custom Muzzle Brake, and the RR Match Trigger, with 3.5x10 Leapould on top.
The brake looks like this, drilled through the heavy barrel:

My shooting was off today and I couldn't realy get in the groove. That said, the rifle was holding 2" at 200 yards with Blackhills Blue Box(Reloads) 62gr Match bullets.

It's a project gun, so if you keep that in mind it's not a bad start.

Good looking gun and good shooting. I had a Model 1 kit built on a Olympic receiver and it shot just as well. Recently sold it to "If you aint Cav" so you may see it on the range sometime. My new RRA should be in next month, cant wait to try that out. How do you like your RRA trigger? Is your barrel 1-9" twist? If so, if you have a chance try Blackhills bluebox 68gr HP Match, my Model 1 upper shot them really well. Well enough to win a informal 400yd match at New Breman with. Hope to see yah there since I'm back home now. Again nice looking project gun. Hows your Savage project coming along?

Welcome home Boltgun was wondering if I would run into you at the range today. You live out in this neck of the woods or just come for the range?

That's not my gun, but I will see if I can get it posted. I've started ordering the parts I ring you when I get it together.
