will using 12 guage slugs through an extra full trap hurt it?

I havn't tried it personally but I've read and only heard to use MOD and IMPROVED CYLENDER, and CYLENDER BORE with slugs...that would squeeze it too much and you might get something looking like a traffic cone shape on your barrel : /

that was what I was guessing but if I were to take that choke right out and run slugs throught it without a choke would that be ok or would that hurt the barrel?

They will shoot fine thorugh a ExFull choke, although accuracy would most likely suffer. Absolutely do not shoot without a choke installed. Best bet is to find a Cyl/Mod choke to shoot slugs through.

it will bulge your barrel and make screw in chokes almost impossible to screw in and out always go for improved cyli:) nder or cylinder

Slugs through an extra full will not bulge the barrel, trust me. It will increase recoil, and make accuracy horrendous, however.

shooting a lot of them will, i would not shoot a lot of them thru it with the full or extra full

As lont as you shoot Lead Foster-type slugs, there will be no damage to the gun, regardless of whether you shoot 1 or 1000. The slug will constrict through the choke tube with no problems. It will NOT normally give good accuracy, but it will cause absolutely no damage.

Most of the info I've found implies either bad accuracy or damage when going tighter than improved.

Although some slugs on their websites, do make note of which chokes they can go through. But if you don't want to research every slug you buy, stay with smooth or improved.
