View Full Version : Springfield & extractor

I bought a used springfield loaded champion that is in really good shape. However, once I took it to the range I quickly found out that there is an extractor issue. Since it is used, does anyone know if it still has a warranty? Even if so, I'm not so sure that worn extractor would be something that would be replacable under warranty.

Secondly, if I choose to replace the extractor myself what will this involve? Do I need to buy the extractor gauge and trigger pull gauge to do this right? Please advise.

No you don't need the gauges to do it right. Check out the tips and tricks.....here:

Alternately, you could install an AFTEC extractor. I really like that option and find that the AFTEC is very forgiving.
