AK parts availability

When I read the AK-47.net discussion forum, it sounds as though there are no Chinese AK-47 parts left in the U.S. I gather Clinton barred their import some time back, but don't companies like Brownell's or Gun Parts Corp stock such parts? (I hear Tapco is 'out', for example.) If not, are owners of Chinese AK-47 rifles just out of luck when they break? (I'm thinking here of firing pins, extractors, etc.)

I find it hard to believe no one is producing parts for these rifles ... I would assume there is significant demand, no?
