Repairing front sight base with epoxy-is it possible

Can I use Acra-Quick or Acra-Weld to attach the front sight base? Will these epoxy's hold up to the recoil of 12ga.? Or would something like "Super T" or "Special T" from Brownells work better? I really don't want to have to braze it on and re-parkerize. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

NedFig, it might work but I wouldn't trust it. Your local smith should be able to solder that sight back in place without you being able to tell it's been done. Give him a call. George
