Model 30.
Tell me why you love 'em.
Or tell me why you hate 'em.

I love mine. Both G30 and G21.
Why?
My G30 has been Glock reliable and durable. Never a jam of any kind. It's light and compact and it shoots as well as any .45 acp I own.
The big thing is... it fits my hands! Some dont like the thickness, I love it.
The only thing I dislike about the G30 is the magazine floor plate. But I found that the optional 9 round flush fit mag is the bomb. My pinky finger rides under the mag bottom like shooting a G26. I seldom use the 10 round mags, and never carry my G30 with anything but the 9 rounder.

I love shooting the Glock 30, very awesome size, and of course, great caliber. You won't go wrong with a Glock, and the 30 is a great CCW size.

I have a G21 and a G17. Very reliable. fun to shoot. Accessories are everywhere. I like not having to maintain a lot of metal. The tenifer finish is very good in my opinion. No weird peices to get stuck on clothes. My only complaint is that the grips are hard plastic/polymere.. Kinda hurts after a few 100 shots. Hard to keep a good grip during rapid fire. I got a hogue grip on em and that solved that problem. And knowing that the gun will most likely outlive me is a good feeling.

I bought a G30 several years ago when one of the sporting goods stores went out of business in Atlanta. I had planned on using it for CCW. It was just too "fat" for my tastes. I have used a G23 for several years now as my CCW gun. There is not enough difference performance wise between a .40 and .45 to justify the additional bulk.

I don't consider Glocks to be trash, but they are certainly not treasures.

Liked the model 30 because it's pretty good firepower to size ratio, in a pretty good gun. And it shot well. Didn't like it (and sold it) for following reasons: because it was thick - the Millenium Pro (taurus) is slimmer - and because it wasn't 100% reliable for some reason. It was 98% reliable, but not 100%. Also didn't like the steeper grip angle. Also didn't like it because they cost too much for what you're getting, what with all the plastic parts (sights, guide rod, magazine, etc.), when compared to their competition (XD, millenium pro) - although actually there is no XD competition for the compact .45 acp - yet.

They're good. Only negative I have ever known of is the thickness as noted above, and I think thicker grips help absorb recoil. Glock did come out with G36 to deal with the thickness issue, but you lose 4 rounds capacity.
Even though I own a PT145, which is more compact, I would concede that Glock has a better reputation for durability at this point.

The Glock debate seems to be endless. There are at least 4.9 million posts on the subject. Search function should give you most of them. People like 'em, people don't like 'em. If you want one, just get one.

I prefer the 40 cal. but to each his own. For the ccw or a normal civilian carry I am for the .380. But for police work I would use the 40 cal.
They are all good some just fit better then others.

I have a 21 & 30. I like them both. My wife prefers the 30 - I bought it for her in the first place. I think I shoot the 30 better than the 21.
Couple guys I work with carry a 30 as a "winter" gun.
I carry a 1911 almost all the time, though.
I guess that's why they make vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Heard they even make strawberry, too:p

Don't over look the Glock 29 10mm auto , barrel change to 40sw and 357sig. Then slide swap to 45acp. And even 22lr.
