Found a like new AR10 A4 SPR .308 -flattop w/carry handle rear & removable front sight, chrome-lined 20" bbl, in a pawn shop. I'm pretty pumped - time to get to work & get it out within 90 days. :D

Also picked up a mint condition Marlin 922M semi-auto .22 mag at same pawn shop & brought to its new loving home - indistinguishable from straight out of box, from the outside. This was exactly what I wanted. The fit & finish on this Marlin are pretty impressive. Nice M14 style safety; hooded front sight, etc.

One thing I don't get about this 922m however, is the little lever on the upper left side of the receiver which you can see in the top pic in the second link there. It clicks back and forward like a safety, but is not the safety - hmmm, time to take it apart. :)

Wow! Nice guns! Congrats, and make sure you give us range reports. I'm interested in both guns.

Did you ever figure out what the lever on the left side of the reciever is for?
My brother in law has the same rifle and asked me. I told him I would try to figure it out.

Thanks
