I have a Chinese MAK-90 which is a copy of the Kalashnikov AKM series of weapons. Unofrtunately, it is post-ban and has the requisite "sporter" stock on it. This stock is hideous. What I would like to do is put on a skeletonized Dragunov-style Romanian wood stock kit on my gun. My question is, will this work?

Chad, I'd like to say "Yeah, no problem." But I really don't know. It should. Hopefully someone who has done it will respond. George

Chad, I have one of those things, and let me tell ya!! To answer your question, first, Yes, it will work. BUT....it sucks. It's straight, with no drop like a conventional stock. It'll eventually end up hurting your shoulder, if you shoot it a lot without breaks. Its fun and cheap to shoot, though. There are LEGAL ways of putting regular grips and stocks on it, and I would suggest this. I did it to mine, and it was worth all that I paid and more in the sheer enjoyment that comes from firing off 300 rounds of ammunition in and afternoon! Check out www.tapco.com (http://www.tapco.com) for some parts.
