Don't know about the 2022, but I have a 2340 that shoots really well. It's accurate and so far reliable. I don't carry it much though because it's a little more bulky than my 229. Mine is in the .357 sig caliber and I gave $425 new. I'm not sure what the difference is between the two.

As far as I know the only difference is the new one has more standardized rails.

I shot 2009 in the past and liked it just as much as the glock 19, if not more. I just can't seem to find anyone who actually OWNS one. Heard from the dealet that the 2009 is discontinued to be replaced by the 2022. Problem is nobody seem to have it in stock or own it.

I have the same problem where I'm at. I called all over town looking for somebody with a Sig Pro in stock. Most shops don't bother to stock them, claim they're not a good seller, but tell me I can order one.

I finally found somebody with them in stock. Looks like a great value and the picatinny rail on the 2022 is nice. I did think the DA pull was long and kinda stacked up though.

I sometimes shot a friend's 2009 and i liked it a lot, very accurate. I think the only difference between the 2022 and the 2009 is the picatinny rail. I'm not sure about that, but I read in a german gun magazine that it was initially manufactured for the French police.

I think the only difference between the 2022 and the 2009 is the picatinny rail.

The new 2022 frames are made in Germany while the 2009s are made in Switzerland. I've seen 2022s come with both 10 rd & hi-cap mags, must have a bunch of 10 round mags they need to get rid of.

Also seems like there are two different decock levers coming on the Pro, just shaped differently.

I found the decock and especially slide release controls to be easier to use on the Pro than the P-series guns I looked at, but that's just me.

Here's the best source I've found for Sig Pro info: Sig Pro FAQ (http://www.praxagora.com/lunde/SigProFAQ/)

if the rail is your only reason for getting the new versus old, and you can get an old at a good price, surefire (I believe its them) has a cool looking rail converter out for the older style pros.

I own a SIG 2022 ! Well, in fact it's not really mine. I'm a french policeman and it's my new duty gun. It's good for me, accurate, easy to use.
But simple action is long and heavy ( has been "improved" for french administration ).
And a big problem : with used guns, you must push "correctly" the trigger. Otherwise, your gun won't go "bang !" but will go "click" ! The people from formation said it was a known problem...

I've used the 2022 for some months. We got it in test in our unit in Denmark just after the French Police and the Fench Gendarmerie got it issued. It's a nice compact reliable gun,it's acurate enough as duty gun or CCW, but don't even compare it with any other Sig Sauer Pistol. This model doesn't have the same standart of quality as many other Sig Sauer pistols have. It was designed to shoot around 12000 rounds and get off duty after that.A very good friend of me who serve at the RAID (the national french SWAT team) said to me they got it issued but went over to Glock.
We took the HK USP compact instead of the 2022.

I have two of them, both .40s, I really like them, its a lot of sig for the price.
the triggers are very good, and they are more accurate than I am. They don't feel like a polymer pistol, I'd buy more if I had the funds
