Remmy 870 Green factory finish? quality?

I just picked up a new 870 factory finished in green. The sales man told me its way stronger a finish than the standard finish (parkerized). Upon hearing this from a salesman, i worry its only paint, and way less resistant to scratching, etc.

can anyone fill me in about the quality, durability of this green finish. Thanks.
