Any opinions on these two. Most notably in 9 mm compact. :)

I own a USP45 fullsize and love it, and have no experience with Para-ordnance. THe USP9 compact has a pretty good reputation. My vote goes to the HK. Go find a place that you can shoot or at least handle both, and take the one you like best.

Regards,
Maarten

Are you some kind of troll? Don't make me report you! :D Para Ordnance or HK? That's like saying Gremlin or Ferrari?! :p Para Ordnance isn't bad by any means, but H+K's are far superior... I was really impressed with the one I shot (a full-size .45) and although they are a bit pricey, you should go with one if you can afford it.

HK's are a proven line of firearms. Para's seem to be hit or miss as far as quality control goes. If you want it to run great right out of the box stick with the HK.

I'd have to agree with the others as well, and go with the HK.

Have an HK usp .40 and never had aby problems with it. My next one's going to be an HK too, a smaller model but still an HK. Go for it!

I would go with a HK although Para Ordance makes a good pistol as well.
I plan to get a HK PS2000SK at the end of the year.
I enjoy my XD9 though so far.
Also what is a Troll????

HK, easy.

A troll is someone who posts something just to start an argument.

HK or Para Ordinance? Too easy...Glock! :D

Seriously though, I don't really like the way the USPs feel in my hand. The Para, or any other 1911, feels much better to me. Granted, I don't own either so I can't speak of their performance or reliability, so I put a lot of stock in what I see you all post. I am glad this question came up.

I'd still go with the glock.

Without the smily this is a perfect example of a troll. The answer has nothing to do with the question. However, from the smily, we can guess that Danzig meant it lightheartedly.

Cant argue there.
If you want a small 9 then get your self a P7
Takes lots of money but there are few guns to compair

It was meant to be a tongue in cheek answer! :)

I was'nt trying to start an argument(troll ?) I was actually trying to settle one. Was at the range the other day (with my .45 Hi-Point) and a couple of guys were there with their pistols 1 w/HK,1w/PARORDNANCE.Naturally,the discussions (friendly)became rather heavy about which weapon was the best. I did'nt see much difference between their weapons and my HI-POINT myself. I guess it's like personal preferences. :)

I own both,with similar capacities,Para Tac-Four 45(13+1),HK USP45 Fullsize(12+1),I'd take either,although the Para is a bit slimmer,in case you're thinking possible CCW...Taurus 24/7 in 45(12+1) isn't too bad either,but not in the same price range...

Well, if it must be between those two makes ... then HK.

Actually, the 9mm USP compact model is probably the best of the USP's as far as general ergonomics and overall size goes ...
