I am interested in getting a SA G.I. high cap 45 acp. does anybody have any experience with this pistol...im curious how it feeds..if the high cap has any effect of the gun...how the grip feels compared to a 7 rd standard 1911 etc....thanks ahead for any and all information.

I bought one about a month ago, but have yet to shoot it. It took a couple of days of stuffing as many rounds into the mag as I could before I reached full capacity (13), and then, the rounds don't snap up when the top round is removed. Perhaps the jolt imparted by recoil will make it work.
The grip is large, and square, but it still feels like a gun. I'm thinking of making an IPSC Limited gun out of it, with a sight change, magwell funnel, and maybe a barrel. Or, I've considered making it the "house gun", with night sights, light rail, and/or whatever else it may need.

The mags are abit stiff at first for loading but they loosen up after a little use. i also bought some mecgar mags for a P-14 and they work great as well.
