12 Gauge specialty ammo (http://www.firequest.com/catalog/12_gauge_ammunition.html) Stumbled across this site today. Does anybody actually use any of these things? I just can't see myself shooting a 12 ga bolo at anything but a waterbottle or melon. :D Course, "250ft wall of fire" could be fun at a night shoot. :p

Bird bombs are kinda fun. I'd love to shoot some dragon's breath, but even if I could procure some (illegal in CA), there are very few places around here I could shoot it off without risk of causing a huge brush fire and subsequently landing my butt in jail.

I know someone who used something like the bolo , handmade, a series of split lead shot crimped onto nylon cord.He said it was devastating on 'chucks'...There is a round like the flash bang that goes out to about 75 yds then goes off with a very loud bang. Effective for chasing deer from the garden.

It would seem to me, that the Flash Thunder Grenade would also blind and deafen the shooter.

It would seem to me, that the Flash Thunder Grenade would also blind and deafen the shooter. Agreed... Sounds like tying a flash bang to a stick.

Flash bang shell - about the only use I can see for this is as an emergency signal device when lost in the mountains. Otherwise the flash is likely to blind the shooter.

Bolo shell - might be useful during riots, looting and TEOTWAWKI situations or if you live where you might encounter stampeding buffalo.

Piranha shell - effective only between 10 and 50 feet? I'll pass. I'll use #6 instead.

Pit Bull shell - Oh my. It's "number one rated" alright - by prosecutors for hanging you as wanting to inflict a fatal injury.

Terminator-X shell - Like the Pit Bull above, can't you see the prosecutor reading the advertising to the jury? The lethality [...] can't be advertised.. Watch the juror's faces when he says This slug mushrooms and expands to nearly 2 inches! It forces the dozen of tiny pellets to spread through your objective like a cancerous disease, opening an area [...] equal to a softball! And finally, make sure your affairs are in order when he tells the jury Only 5% of any living being could survive this kind of hit!

"Armor Piercing" shell - Notice the quotations. Any serious rifle round should be able to penetrate 1/4" plate up to 50 yards. Nothing special here except it's in a shotgun shell of dubious value.

“Pepper Blast” shell - Might be useful if you know which way the wind is blowing or have time to figure that out before using it.

I can see maybe the pepper one. Otherwise its just marketing to those who wanna feel like a "Bad Man".

That site has some serious issues they need to discuss with a therapist

I heard that the flachetes were to be used on criminals with body armor, but at close half the flahcetes dont have enough time to flip over and pierce the armor. Just what i heard.

I've played with some of them. Dragons Breath was waaayy disappointing. a complete rip off.

Bird Bombs were pretty fun though.

I've also used rubber slugs and buckshot on moose that were in the back yard charging my dogs. Worked great, got the moose the hell outta there without having to explain myself to the brown shirts.

Overall though, I'd say most of that stuff looks kinda hokey Seems to me if yer messin' around with something you can't kill with a charge of buckshot or a one ounce slug, ya' may very well be performing an exercise in horrifically poor judgement.

looks like gorilla warfare to me...might as well climb in trees and hide. then bolo them to the ground...then use the slugs

Anyone have experience with the flash grenade? Does the concussion blast come from your barrel, if so wouldn't you also be affected? Or does the concussion blast occur on impact of a projectile?
