Ran upon a product called "Clipit" for carrying gun inside pants and wondering if anyone has ever used it.

Is that the thing that looks like a pen clip that you can attach to the outside of the gun?

Yes, it is attached to gun with a strip of double coated tape. Looks good but wondering if tape will hold and stay on gun..........

Nope, that's called a Clip Draw or something like that. Never heard of one that attaches with tape... Doesn't sound like something I'd bet my life on...

I don't know what your setup is for IWB, but I just wear a T-shirt, and if there a re any metal parts touching your skin, you are going to get up one morning with a rusty gun.
I have a holster ordered to cover this, but in the meantime I have a piece of Wally-world plastic bag between me and the holster.

I would worry about having a gun in my pocket without any trigger protection. Too easy to get things blown off not blown on ;)

I had one of the ClipDraws on a .38 snub.
Worked well if I didn't sit down. That extra layer of padding would roll the gun out of my waist band.
It might be OK in some cases but it's really just one overpriced step away from Mexican carry

I put one a 1911A1. Racked the slide one time, and removed it as it removed a lot of skin on forefinger. It was the type that mounted underneath the grip, and had a clip that ran along the slide.
