Same frame.
I pick a holster based on that I'm carrying the gun for.
Sometimes it's a ankle holster. I don't do this one very often.
Sometimes it's a pocket holster. There are times when I just can't run around with my shirt out!! (see IWB and belt holster)
IWB used to my my carry of choice until my hip started hurting me when I wore it.
Most of the time, nowadays, I carry in a plain old belt holster. I own a couple of these.
If I know I'm going to be somewhere I know I will be unable to take my gun, the post office, for instance, I carry in a paddle holster. It has all the attributes of the belt holster (see above) but has the advantage of remove-ability.

Now, there are many fine holster makers with products ranging in price from dirt cheap to OH MY GOD you want how much for that???!!!

I stay somewhat in the middle. I have Predator (http://www.predator-holsters.com/) IWB holsters, Bianchi (http://www.bianchi-intl.com/) belt holsters, Galco (http://www.usgalco.com/default.asp) paddle and pocket holsters, and the Fobus (http://www.fobusholster.com/catalog/) ankle holster.
