View Full Version : Fixing the P99 Anti-Stress trigger?

How difficult would it be to remove the 'Anti-Stress' feature of the standard P99 (AS variant)? Would a reputable smith be able to do it easily? It is the ONE thing that I don't like about my P99.

I'm not sure it's even do-able.

IIRC, the "anti-stress" function is part of the overall design of the weapon. It is included on every version they make. You're basically talking about re-designing the gun.

Walther did make prototypes of a P99 TA (Traditional Action), which is what you're looking for. I am not aware of a way to change a P99 AS without compromising reliability.

Just don't use it. It's not a mandatory function.
Treat your P99 like a traditional DA/SA, load up then decock.
When you are finished shooting, decock.
Shazam...... no more AS trigger.
